America is, always has been, and always will be a nation of immigrants.  It was the premise of our founding; it is reflected in our Constitution; it is etched upon the Statue of Liberty — that “from her beacon-hand glows world-wide welcome.”-Biden Administration 

Our small law office might be not be the place you’d expect to encounter newly minted U.S. residents.  Yet here they are.  Every single day I am honored to help them with their legal matters.  The Indian client who we recently helped with a child custody matter, the Salvadoreño refugee who found his way to California to flee the gangs overrunning his pueblo, the Mexican guest worker who sends his paycheck home to support his family in Guanajuato. No matter where they are from, or why they are here, we recognize the enormous sacrifices they’ve made.  Leaving family, friends, and a life they’ve always known to follow an American dream which still holds hope for a better life to many around the globe.

During this immigrant Heritage month, we thank them for their innumerable contributions to our community.
