Boring

Revisiting my social media memories is a good reminder of the wonderful times I’ve had.   Exciting times in luxurious spots is a bi-product of lots of work.  In fact, the small fraction of my life in those photos is not what success is really about.

In the real world, the most boring things are the true building blocks of achievement.   Never missing an exercise day keeps my body healthy, daily attention to what I eat keeps me running at peak performance,  getting a good nights sleep means I’m sharper and more focused, setting aside time each day to wade through mountains of e-mails moves my cases forward, phone calls with clients builds trust, attending seminars keeps me on top of my law game, managing my tasks to get the most out of my workdays means I have more time to spend with family and friends.

The lesson is simple.  Stunning photos in exotic places are fun, but it’s the day in and day out routines, the mundane work that no one sees that creates success!

PS- I do love this photo from Museo Soumaya CDMX though!
