Winning

I was talking to someone with a lot to be down about recently.  What I would call,  mind blowing troubles.  But there he was, asking me how I was doing with sincerity and interest.  In fact, he was uplifting in his conversation with everyone in the room. Made me think about how I know when I've met a winner: It's not about money, clothes, or material possessions.

Winners give. They smile. They leave a room and the people in it are better off for their positive presence. They're uplifting to others despite whatever life's challenges they are facing. They see the bad, but emphasize the pluses in life. Winners have problems just like everyone else, they've just decided to focus on other things and save the negatives for the proper time!
